I am an American translator and translator-trainer with 20 years experience in Eastern Europe. I have worked for numerous translation agencies and companies (Warsaw, Moscow, Budapest), and taught translation practice and theory at Warsaw University and the Warsaw School of Social Sciences and the Humanities (SWPS).
I largely specialize in translating, editing, and revising research articles and books in many academic fields. Many of the articles and books I have translated or edited have been published by top-notch international publishers and journals. I have published my own research papers in linguistics (in English and Polish) .
For 10 years, I have been the chief translator and English language editor of Academia, the popular-science magazine of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
I also work as a press translator (coverage of Polish politics for a major US press agency).
