Portuguese term or phrase: pauta
Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a little help with how the word "pauta" is being used in this sentence. I think it would help to know a synonym for it. The sentence is from a piece giving companies advice on how to write a good newsletter:

Apesar de muitas pautas derivarem das redes sociais, a newsletter precisa trazer informações ainda não trabalhadas.

I've translated the sentence as:

Despite a lot of discussions being derived from social media, the newsletter needs to bring information which has yet to be explored.

The variation is Brazilian Portuguese.

Any insight is appreciated.

"pointer" in the sense of "guideline" but that would be too formal

"pointer" is an indication on how to proceed

Explanation:
I'd go with "Although discussions may derive from social media..." but I may be off-target given the full context and tone are not 100% clear to me. Either way, just mh2¢, I hope it helps.

rule / norm

Explanation:
Penso que aqui o sentido de pauta é "norma", "regra", inclusivamente "modelo", "etiqueta" (netiquette), orientação.

Aquilo que dita a forma, o tom, a moda, as tendências são as redes sociais. É nas redes sociais que se pode captar o que há de mais recente em formas de expressão/comunicação, tendências.

O verbo pautar-se: guiar-se

Apesar de muitas pautas derivarem das redes sociais...

Explanation:
Hi! I would translate "pauta" as "topics".
The sentence is about discussion topics based or created by social media. I think that "topic" would work in this case!
