Source text - English GLOBALIZATION AND SOCIAL CHANGE
Globalization is the worldwide flow of goods, services, money, people, information, and culture. It leads to a greater interdependence and mutual awareness among the people of the world.
Globalization, however, is also an ideology with multiple meanings. It is often identified with technological solutions to economic development and reform. The term has also been adopted by cross-borderadvocacy organization defending human rights, the environment, women’s rights, or world peace. The environmental movement in particular, has raised the banner of globalism in its struggle for a clean planet, as in its ”Think Global, Act Local” slogan. Thus, globalization is often thought of as an inevitable force. Its policies or behaviors are often critized, however praiseworthy some of them might be.
It is unclear when globalization began. One could argue that globalization began with the dawn of history. Most research on th etopic, however, has tended to view globalization as beginning at the end of World War II, with the coming of the nuclear age, and the expansion of worldwide trade and investment.

Globalisasi ialah aliran barangan, perkhidmatan, wang, manusia, maklumat dan budaya ke seluruh dunia. Ia mendorong kepada saling bergantungan dan kesedaran bersama yang lebih besar antara masyarakat dunia.
Walau bagaimanapun, globalisasi, juga merupakan ideologi dengan pelbagai maksud. Ia sering dikaitkan dengan penyelesaian teknologi kepada pembangunan dan pembaharuan ekonomi. Istilahnya turut digunakan oleh organisasi advokasi rentas sempadan yang mempertahankan hak kemanusiaan, alam sekitar, hak wanita, dan keamanan dunia. Gerakan alam sekitar khususnya, telah mengangkat sepanduk globalisme dalam perjuangan mereka untuk mencapai bumi yang bersih, seperti slogannya ”Berfikiran Global, Bertindak Lokal”. Oleh yang demikian, globalisasi sering dianggap sebagai kuasa yang tidak dapat dielakkan. Polisi atau perilakunya sering dikritik, walaupun ada antaranya dipuji.
Sememangnya tidak jelas bila globalisasi bermula. Seseorang boleh mengatakan bahawa globalisasi bermula semenjak dahulu kala. Namun begitu, kebanyakan kajian mengenai topik ini, cenderung melihat globalisasi bermula ketika tamatnya Perang Dunia II, dengan kedatangan zaman nuklear, dan pengembangan seluruh dunia dalam perdagangan dan pelaburan.

KUALA LUMPUR, 5 Julai 2014: Malaysia akan menjadi tuan rumah bagi Persidangan Komunikasi Krisis Global 2014 (GC3) pertama yang dijadualkan berlangsung November ini di Kuala Lumpur.
Persidangan dua hari pada 20 dan 21 November ini akan mengumpulkan hampir 20 pakar komunikasi krisis terkemuka dunia untuk perbincangan komprehensif meliputi pelbagai aspek komunikasi krisis, termasuk satu sesi plenari mengenai isu MH370.
GC3 yang bertemakan ‘Pendekatan Bersepadu Komunikasi Krisis’ dijangka akan mengumpulkan seramai 750 pegawai atasan (C-suite), pegawai perhubungan awam syarikat korporat dan agensi kerajaan dari dalam dan luar negara.
Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Intelectasia, Manminder Kaur Dhillon, yang juga Pengerusi Sekretariat GC3 berkata, idea bagi penganjuran persidangan buat julung kalinya di Malaysia bertitik-tolak daripada pengalaman negara ketika berhadapan krisis MH 370.
“Insiden MH370 telah membuka mata semua pihak tentang pentingnya tahap kesiapsediaan sesebuah negara atau organisasi dari pelbagai sudut terutama sekali dalam aspek komunikasi krisis. Malahan, dari aspek perhubungan awam, insiden MH370 kini menjadi satu case study yang wajib diteliti oleh pengamal PR di seluruh dunia” kata beliau.

KUALA LUMPUR, 5 July 2014: Malaysia will play host to the inaugural Global Crisis Communication Conference 2014 (GC3) slated/scheduled for this November in Kuala Lumpur.
The two-day conference on 20 and 21 November will assemble almost 20 world-renowned/worlds prominent crisis communication expert for a comprehensive discussion on the various aspects of the crisis communication, including a plenary session on/regarding MH370 crisis.
Themed ’An Integrated Approach to Crisis Communication’, is expected to gather as many as 750 high-ranking superior officers (C-suite) / top officials, public relation officers from corporate organisations and local and foreign government agencies.
Intelectiasia Chief Executive Officer, Manminder Kaut Dhillon, who is also Secteriat Chairman, said that the idea to hold of hosting the conference for the first time ever in Malaysia was triggered by nation’s experience facing the MH370 crisis.
”MH370 incident has opened the eyes of all parties on the importance of level preparedness for a country or organization from various angle especially crisis communication aspects. In fact, from public relation aspect, MH370 incident has now become a case study that is compulsary to be scrutinized by PR practitioners all over the world” she said.
