I am a professional English into Ukrainian freelance translator certified by ProZ. I have been working in the industry for 15+ years.

I have worked in a number of fields ranging from Event Organization to Law to Food Safety. But after becoming a full-time freelancer, I have been focusing on the areas that I feel truly passionate about: Game Localization and Subtitle Translation.

Apart from English, I also translate into Ukrainian from French and Russian and provide translations from Ukrainian/Russian into English. 

My CAT tools of choice are memoQ, Crowdin and WordFast Pro 5, but I also work with Trados and I am familiar with the majority of CAT tools on the market.

Game Localization

Since 2020, I am a member of SBT Localization, a group of translators localizing video games into Ukrainian and raising awareness about official Ukrainian Game Localization.

As a member of SBT Localization, I have worked on a number of projects, including Kingdom Come: Deliverance (both as a translator and an editor) and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition.

Another project I’ve worked on is Sherlock Holmes Chapter One. For this game, I was both a translator and editor. Overall, I translated around 60% of the game (total wordcount being roughly 150,000 words) and proofread every single word of it. The game itself and its Ukrainian localization has overwhelmingly positive reviews.

My biggest project to date is Baldur's Gate 3.

I also localize games as an individual translator. My proudest achievement so far is the Ukrainian localization of the brilliant Return of the Obra Dinn.

I am a big fan of story-driven games and enjoy both playing and translating games with a rich lore and witty dialogues. Subtitle Translation

I have translated dozens of TV shows and movies for streaming services as a Ukrainian Subtitle Translator. I translate comedies and dramas, reality shows, feature films, documentaries, and cartoons. Similarly to Game Localization, when choosing my subtitling projects, I look for a captivating story. I greatly enjoy translating subtitles for TV shows and films that are full of unconventional humor, wordplay, irony, and sarcasm.

I work with Aegisub and Ooona, as well as online subtitling software provided by the client. I translate subtitles based on a template you provide, but can also work without a template and create it myself.
