Bio

[ENG]

I was born in 1985; born and raised in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. When I began to study a foreign language I was about 7 years old. I studied American English for 10 uninterrupted years. It was a real pleasure. It still is a pleasure to learn the languages I get to like. I do love languages. Besides English, I've started studying French and Chinese (PinYin). I graduated in Physical Education (PE), in 2009, but ever since I was realizing that PE as an education was not giving me a return on the investment I made, I started trying to make a profit somehow from the investment I made in my training and love for English (and languages). Making an effort to conciliate both PE and using my English to help friends with their needs, that's where I started perceiving that translating letters, scientific articles and/or abstracts, and revising academic papers that I could make money out of a new profession. In 2011, I had a click in my mind and started searching about translation and its market, etc., but it still took me a bit longer to drop out PE "for good". Then, it finally happened in August 2012, that I dropped out of a job and started dedicating to the translation universe, that was when I started my first steps on the translation universe. In 2013, I still tried one last time for a job in PE that sounded like a good opportunity. It turned out that it was not. Then, in 2014, in August, again - that is the month I celebrate my anniversary as a professional translator - I decided that Translator was the profession I was going to adopt for good. This time was for good. Since 2014, I've been a translator.
