In memoriam
No preparation required Apr 16, 2018

I am in Brazil, and most of my foreign clients are located in North America.
Even if it were specific to the services I provide, there wouldn't be any cause for alarm.

I'm aware that some people appear to be getting their knickers in a twist about it. I do know it's about privacy. That's not really an issue for me, as I have a relationship of trust with my clients and most of the texts I work on are in the public domain. I'll look into it in more detail after next week, as this week I'm very busy with other things.

I will be attending an information event about the GDPR next week, to find out what it will mean for me.

I just looked it up now Apr 16, 2018

I had no idea what those initials represented. A quick google gave me this:
http://business.financialpost.com/executive/many-canadian-organizations-unprepared-for-the-eus-gdpr-compliance-deadline
But I don't know how this affects translators, or if it does.
