I took a break in November because I had gotten too stressed out (actually ended up in the hospital for 3 days with scary symptoms), but all is well now and I'm back in business and never felt better. Other than this recent event, I can never remember being too sick to work.
I had a pelvic fracture in January last year as a consequence of a fall at home, it wasn’t serious and though it was extremely painful and it took a long time to heal I could go on working, except for 2 or 3 days (as a coincidence I had no work). Otherwise, like Muriel, I can’t remember being so sick that I couldn’t work... | | | Thayenga Germany Local time: 06:14 Member (2009) English to German + ...
Only because I was admitted to the hospital, but I still kept up with my emails.

I had a cold, a few migranes, etc. as usual. But considering the meaning of "sick days" for professional purposes, none, because I worked regularly in all of them.
I fell at home and broke my right hand and index finger. I couldn't work for 30 days and I have to go twice a week to the physiotherapist. Though I am regularly working now, it will take some 6 months more to recover from my fractures. The last sick days I had taken were 11 years ago when I had surgery.

I used to catch a sinusitis at least once a year when I was working as an employee, which always knocked me out for one or two weeks. Since I started working at home, I did not catch any infections - might be the isolated workspace I had a bad low back pain a couple of weeks ago which made it difficult to walk for two days, but I could still sit some hours at the computer and try to catch up on my workload. Did I have paid sick days? Then the answer is none. If I don't work, I don't get paid. Was I sick? Yes. But I didn't count the days. | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Poll: How many sick days did you have in 2018?
