I was much more social and outgoing a few years back than I’m today, but that hasn’t prevented me from establishing excellent relations with lots of PMs and direct clients, some have been long-standing, while others are more recent…

Clients:
My relationships have been excellent with direct long-term clients and I never had any problems. Working with agencies has not been quite as smooth: while generally communication has been pretty good, I admit that a couple of times I have been a bit defensive in responding to what I thought were unreasonable requests.

Colleagues:
I have always had wonderful relationships with colleagues. Many have become life-long friends.

I have always had wonderful relationships with colleagues. Many have become life-long friends.

Others:
I have not always applied good people skills in my volunteer work on boards and committees; some of the people are known to be difficult and I have not been effective in working with them. I have one social group in which I tend to be shy. On the other hand, in a group in which I do some teaching and coaching, communication has almost always been delightful (except when we decided to organize an event).

I am a MONSTER....... May 6, 2019

.....and should not interact with humanity. Ha Ha Ha.... Just joking. Actually, I am a good human being. A nice fellow. I never cursed anyone in my life. I never used four-letter words in my life. I try to be nice with all the people. Unfortunately, people are not nice to me. I don't know why.

I too have a quote of my own. "Life is beautiful, But people are cruel and sadists."

I had an excellent opportunity to learn communication skills via the volunteer work I do, and it has stood me in very good stead. Not that I apply the rules all the time - it's mostly not necessary - but it has often helped me stand back and take a deep breath before going off the deep end.
I show my appreciation of good clients and I remain polite even with the bad ones that I dump.

Nobody's perfect, but I reckon my people skills are plenty good enough for my clients, most

What is the point of this question? May 6, 2019

People's self-assessment of their own people skills is liable to reveal little about their actual people skills.

I have rodent skills. Sometimes mouse. Sometimes squirrel. And sometimes weasel (see also: Dilbert).

People skills aren't even on my scale.

I seem to be getting on okay (especially as long as I stick to typing and don't open my furry snout). What does that say about society?

I'm great online only... in real life, not so much May 6, 2019

I don't seek social interactions in the real life. I prefer to stay home than going out. I have my live-in boyfriend (who is much more social than me and whom I encourage to go out on his own when I don't feel like it) and my cat. A few friends, the same social circle for years (and they don't bug me). That's enough.

I know all the pets on my street and talk to them, but don't interact with their handlers.

Yesterday, I took advantage of the nice weather on my front balc

Yesterday, I took advantage of the nice weather on my front balcony. Passers by were enough social interactions for me.

If I hear my neighbours come in or out when I'm about to go out to run errands, I wait till they're gone to avoid them.

The good thing with my stellar social skills, is I have a good chance of survival if there is ever a zombie uprising or if I end up being the very last woman on earth

Monster May 6, 2019

I also clicked 'monster' just for the thrill. I was born with six eyes, four ears and nine limbs. What a totally daft question. How do any of you know, or any of my customers for that matter, other than the text I am typing here and my general email correspondence, which is excellent?

Good: By results May 6, 2019

Though people often seem to be offended when I tell the truth (without "little white lies" shortcuts), I try to understand one's motives and deal as with my equals--unless they proved themselves not worthy.

I can tolerate ignorance, but not deliberate stupidity.

Moreover, my direct clients lavishly pay me exactly for my set of skills and traits, so I'm quite valuable too)
