Born and raised in France, I quickly became aware that languages would play an important role in my life. After living in Wales as a student, I then lived in the three other nations of the UK for extended periods of time, and I'm now residing in the beautiful Northern Irish countryside. This long immersion in several culturally diverse areas of the English-speaking world has given me an in-depth understanding of the source language I mostly work with. Not only can I easily navigate linguistic subtleties, but it gives me extra confidence about the liberties I can take to craft a translation that doesn't sound like one.

After obtaining my master's degree in legal and business translation from a French university, I moved to the UK and started working as a project manager because I thought then that freelancing wasn't for me. Funnily enough, I wrote my dissertation about translators that become project managers as a career change and I did the exact opposite! Having had that experience as a project manager directly interacting with multinational companies has helped me become a better translator because I understand what their needs are and I work on every single job with the aim of exceeding their expectations.

On top of marketing and business translation, I provide transcreation services. In order to stay in touch with the market I work with, I religiously keep up-to-date with what's happening in France. I regularly watch French talk shows and use social media. I absolutely love a linguistic challenge and the thrill of finding the perfect combination of words to faithfully and creatively craft a copy that resonates with the French market!
