español term
accidentes de circulación

Jurídico/Patentes
Derecho: (general)
This is a term used to describe an accident that occurred to someone in a shopping centre. If it involves "pedestrian traffic" do we still call it a "traffic accident".
Thanks in advance!

: If it happened inside a shopping center, how is it a road accident ?

Hi Monica. Actually, the asker and I had already smoothed that one out - I suppose you hadn't noticed. ;O)

Gracias Alberto, pero no. Como apuntó Sherry, se produjo dentro de un centro comercial y ella cerró la pregunta por error. :O) :O)

accident
If there is no car/motorcycle or other motorised vehicle involved, you can only say accident. Pedestrian accident would also not work.

If you have to classify it, I think you may have to add a brief description "an accident involving two pedestrians" (which still may mean 2 pedestrians and a vehicle) "an accident in which one person knocked another down" "an accident involving only two pedestrians" (this can't be misconstrued as easily as the first suggestion), etc.

If you need a generic term for this, you may be stuck with "accidents not involving vehicles" or "accidents involving only pedestrians"

Anyway, now that I can add a general note....this happened inside the shopping centre and I need to somehow classify this type of accident. Thanks!
