I am currently translating a Colombian telenovela that takes place in Medellín.
There are two characters (a man and a woman) who are both going through some hardships in separate sub-plots, without knowing about the other's hardships.
The woman walks into the room and sees the man and says "No sabes lo feliz estoy para ver una cara conocida."
The man then says "Ojalá la cara te sirva de algo, porque lo que es el resto..."
I originally thought the man was making a self-deprecating comment referring to "the rest of his body" as if he were in really bad shape. However, this doesn't seem to be the case. He rather seems to be lamenting his own hardship.

I interpret the "cara conocida" as "a familiar face", as if the woman is looking for commiseration/something to make her feel better in her predicament. While the guy she is talking to doesn't really seem to want or care to do the same with her, because his hardship is different, in more or one ways, from hers. More self-centered, not seeking much common ground with her.
Or "I hope my familiar face is of some value to you/makes you feel better (a bit of perhaps even sarcastic irony), but you don't really know much about/have much of a clue about all the crap (that's going on with me/ I'M going through).
Or possibly, "you don't know the whole story when it comes to the predicament I find myself in".
Much more concerned about his own situation, that about showing her any kind of support when it comes to hers.

: Or another option could perhaps be "you don't know what I'm dealing with."

AllegroTrans
: Total change of register which is overtranslation. This could be possibly what the producer of the English version is looking for, but you simply do not know. Asker hasn't really given enough context in any case.
