please explain the word in simple language in the following context (seems it is a certificate or what):
If the results of such review and/or tests reveal the reagent in question failed to meet the minimum productivity warranties set forth in Exhibit C, party A shall issue a credit (creditable against future purchase orders) to Party B to account for the shortage in the reagent productivity.

In the U.S. it would ordinarily be called a "credit memo"
