Discussion

Johannes Gleim Feb 21, 2012:
No "Kz" on a driving license in Germany. I looked on my driver's license [driving licence], renewed last year, but found no such markings. The following items are listed:
1. Name, 2. Christian name, 3. Birth day, 4. Place of birth, 4a. Issue date, 4c. Issuing Authority (Landrat xxx-Kreis), 5. Licence number. The backside shows the Explanations for the items and the type of motor vehicles allowed to drive. Nothing else.
Colin Rowe Feb 20, 2012:
Original context? "Driving Licence *Kz.*" and "Driver’ Licence *kz*" (presumably missing an "s") are not German. What does the original actually say?
Could "Kz." be "Kennzahl"? (Try googling "Kennzahl 95" in conjunction with Führerschein).

agree Johannes Gleim : Probably (in case the file contains the registered car license plate, not to confuse with the driver's license no. [driving licence no.]).
