German term

mandantenfähig

German to English Marketing Economics internet platforms
I know this term has been asked before and I have read all the answers. The translation provided by Ralf Lemster "with multiple-client capability" comes close, HOWEVER, I wonder if taxpayers can be called "clients" of the Inland Revenue because strictly speaking "customers or clients" buy a product or a service. Now taxpayers don't buy anything from the "Inland Revenu"...

Discussion

John Jory Aug 26, 2007:
Agree with Chetan: How does that relate to the fact that the product suite can be used by/for various clients (tenants)?
Martin Wenzel (asker) Aug 25, 2007:
If a company owns securities and they make profit on these and these would be liable to tax wouldn't they?
casper (X) Aug 25, 2007:
So, how is the asked term related to "taxpayers" and "Inland Revenue", as stated in its description?
Martin Wenzel (asker) Aug 25, 2007:
Et voila, if it helps you... • Produktsuite ist sowohl stand-alone einsetzbar als auch integrativer Bestandteil von XXXXXX
• Logische Datenmodellierung mit vollständiger Dokumentation aller Daten
• Relationale Datenbank
• Übernahme aus Drittsystemen durch publizierte Schnittstellen
• Mandantenfähig
• Durchgängige Revisionsführung für alle in PSD vorgehaltenen Daten
John Jory Aug 25, 2007:
Actually, I meant the original German text. This would be more helpful in understanding the precise context.
Martin Wenzel (asker) Aug 25, 2007:
Sorry no sentence, part of a list... Product Suite can be used as a stand-alone application or as an integrated componentof XXXXX
• Logical data modelling with complete documentation of all data
• Relataional data base
the nex bullet is this mandantenfähig: my preliminary translation is: Capable of serving clients ....or perhaps "serving clients", but that almost implies a computer or robot sitting behind it all doing some independent thinking...
John Jory Aug 25, 2007:
Could we have the original sentence, please?
