German term

„Allgemeine bauaufsichtliche Zulassung“

German to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general)
Context:

"Funktion der Sonden prüfen.
siehe „Allgemeine bauaufsichtliche Zulassung“ der Sonde"

This sounds like "building regulations" to me, but that doesn't really seem appropriate in connection with sensors.

Discussion

Bernd Runge Jul 23, 2010:
Beispiel DIBT Gegenstand:

David Williams (asker) Jul 23, 2010:
Bernd Runge Jul 23, 2010:
WHG wie Wasserhaushaltsgesetz?
David Williams (asker) Jul 23, 2010:
These are WHG sensors in a chlorine electrolysis system used to generate sodium hypochlorite by electrolysis of salt water/brine.
Kim Metzger Jul 22, 2010:
What kind of sensor are we talking about?
Bernd Runge Jul 22, 2010:

national technical approval

... is the widely accepted translation for all types of construction products.

See, for example,

I've also seen "general technical approval".

Nonetheless, I'd use "national technical approval" because the same system seems to apply here.
Note from asker:
These sensors aren't really construction products, although the system in which they are used is only intended for indoor use.

approved by the building authorities

This is the general term I have seen being used in official documents.

Thanks, although -- as mentioned above -- this has nothing to do with construction, in contrast to Chris Koenig's question.
