German term

Schusskreis

German to English Tech/Engineering Military / Defense Military weapons (rifles)
I'm translating a text about a rifle and they are referring to the "Schusskreis" which I understand (circle of shots, i.e. where the shots land) but I don't know the English term for it. One sentence reads as follows:

der Schusskreis solle sich auf 100 m maximal bei vier Schuss auf 12 cm und einem von fünf Schuss auf maximal 20 cm aufweiten

I have written "expand" elsewhere for ausweiten (so the Schusskreis expands to 12 cm when the rifle is fired four times at a target 100 m away). Any help very much appreciated!

shot group / grouping

True gun control is a "1 inch shot group" at 50 meters!

What they are saying is that at 100 meters max, 4 shots should have a shot group of not more than 12 cm (circumference) and with 5 shots, the shot group (or the grouping) should not be more than/expand beyond 20 cm.

Opps the max belongs to the size of the shot group, not the maximum range. Sorry. At any rate, shot group is the term. (Former Army and current gun owner as my creds on this one.)
