Klaviertransport mit Aufzug. Eine Alternative zum Krantransport kann auch ein Aufzug sein.
I've seen a picture of this 'Aufzug' and it looks like a very long mechanical ladder which can be extended to transport a piano upwards. The piano is not suspended in mid-air, as with a crane. I've often seen these contraptions propped up against a building block for heavy transport purposes. Some kind of hoist? Although I think that involves things dangling in the air......

I guess the reason you couldn't find one anywhere on an English piano mover's website is that fewer people live in flats in the UK than in Germany, and most flat dwellers would not own a piano.

@Slindon Then that is definitely a Möbellift, which is a ladder thing with a platform moving up and down along it.

hoist Just to put the record straight, I don't think 'hoist' is right for me. I found a picture on the web of a grand piano being hoisted into an apartment in New York and it's dangling in the air, which is not what I want! My piano definitely goes up a 'ladder thing' on a sort of platform.

@Slindon I wouldn't use aerial lift. Makes me think of something dangling from a helicopter :-)

Normally there is a platform or cradle of some kind that moves up and down the "ladder", as an image search shows:

I think you are both right and it is a furniture lift. I can't see from the picture how the load gets up to the top - whether the ladder-type contraption extends or whether the 'platform' goes up on some sort of pulley or wheels. Perhaps I could also put 'aerial lift'! Thanks so far anyway!
