Peer comment(s):

agree KathyT : Although I'm not sure about the combination with 真, confirming that 巌 is "Iwa", as in 巌川, 巌本, 巌村, 巌谷, 巌垣, etc. according to P.G.O'Neill "Japanese Names" (1995, Weatherhill)

This sounds like a Buddhist monk's name.
So I imagine the person called by this name may be a monk or a family member of a monk etc.
Anyway, this name is semmed to be a classical one.
But I cannot remember another pronunciation for the subject name, and I think it may mean "noble(or magnificent) truth".
