Polish term

łączniczka

Discussion

A.G. Sep 1, 2006:
W filmie Posłaniec (A. Bates) to był "a go between"
Piotr Jańczuk Sep 1, 2006:
'liaison' chyba nie musi z niczym się łączyć: liaison -> one that maintains communication: served as the President's liaison with Congress - to za The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, więc chyba samo 'liaison' będzie OK
Joanna Carroll (asker) Sep 1, 2006:
Aha, zapomnialam - kurier wystepuje osobno: 'Pakowalo sie je [tajne dokumenty] do skrytek dla łącznikow i kurierow'. I co teraz? Zrobic z tego jedno?

liaison officer

The 'officer' here, doesn't imply a military rank, but a position in public or private orgnisations. There's a definition below:

"Thanks to her Aryan appearance, her fluent Polish, her gallantry and resourcefulness in a variety of responsible underground missions, she gained a reputation as a courageous, intelligent and alert underground courier. She had an impressive number of narrow escapes."
