There are two options when translating this word:
1) use a more common and more understandable word,
2) stick to a cognate term.
Personally, I would use 'acribia' or 'acriby' in this case (as obscure and incomprehensible to an Engilsh native-apeaker as 'akrybia' to Polish).

This word is very rarely used in Polish. It is a specialized term used by academics or linguists. Common people would most likely not know what it means.
