Other means, such as a split and Velcro type fasteners could be provided across the back of the hand, as is commonly used in golf and athletic gloves. Slide actuated fasteners, snaps, buttons and the like could also alternatively be used if a split glove rather than a form fitting slip-on glove were desired by any particular user or in any particular application."
