Hi, I'm translating some captions relating to the Portuguese army in India in the 1950s/1960s. I'm assuming this stands for something like "Companhia de XX do Estado da India". The caption in question is as follows:
Dispensa para frequentar aulas emitida pelo C.T.I.E.I., BATARIA DE ARTILHARIA Nº2, 1961
so it's some kind of permit. I have found the acronym used here, but no full version:
