I'm American and have degrees in translating and in literature. I have lived in Germany for decades, am bilingual and am familiar with both cultures. My most recent projects include transcribing, time-coding and translating press conferences, conferences, advertising features, medical conferences, interviews with medical professionals and transcriptions of interviews and conferences involving environmental protection, life sciences, urban architecture, etc.
The books I have edited and translated include the English version of Iny Lorentz's "Die Wanderhure", "Fatal Enlightenment", a thriller, translating Rainer Herrmann's "Wohin geht die türkische Gesellschaft", translating Schoenberg letters into English, etc. I used to write for, translate and edit articles for an arts and crafts Magazine (Perlen Poesie), also cosmetics, pharmaceutical, medical translations, financial and legal translations, scripts and subtitling. My command of German is such that it allows me to edit and proof-read the original German text while translating (and vice versa).
