If you mean in paper form, then I don't read any. My on-line reading habits are very erratic, I sometimes read them every day, sometimes only occasionally. Topic-dependent.

Same as Peter, I don't read any paper newspapers. But I check several newspapers and news sites, mainstream and others, every day. Would feel lost in the world if I didn't.

I read dozens of others online. Just finished reading today's "Il Manifesto" because it has a good "culture" section on Sundays. https://ilmanifesto.it/sezioni/cultura/
This led to me download Kindle samples of 2 novels.

But now it's time for my next quiz question: If you are male, how often do you shave?

Yes (in paper, on TV and online) Nov 7, 2021

I admit that I’m kind of a news junkie. I like to know what is happening around the country and around the world. I read and watch the news every day. My TV is always on, usually on BBC News or Sky News and I get news notifications from a local newspaper when something happens, though if I’m really busy I just delete it without even reading it. As I lived in Belgium for 30 years I like staying informed about what’s happening there so I watch the RTBF news during lunch time. I check some ne... See more

As I lived in Belgium for 30 years I like staying informed about what’s happening there so I watch the RTBF news during lunch time. I check some news sites online (“The Huffington Post”). I also buy a few magazines and newspapers: two Portuguese (“Expresso” and “Visão”), three French (“Obs”, “Elle” and “Marie Claire”), one English (“The Economist”)…Collapse

I have a quick look at the online digital version of some newspapers almost every day. I rarely read or buy printed press any more.

Yes, digital versions Nov 7, 2021

I'm a Guardian subscriber, and I also read Forbes, where my daughter curates 2 of their newsletters, and is currently Editorial Lead of the Sustainability section.

Another news junkie Nov 7, 2021

I have to confess, I read the New York Times, Washington Post, and OZY News (back on line, thank goodness!) every day. Also local NPR news. All online. I also read the Guardian and other sites on my cell phone. Trying to wean myself, but not much luck.

I do think translators gain by staying up with the news. The facts often come in handy, and it's essential for learning current vocabulary.

The reporting is so biased and agenda-driven. Annoys me. News should be impartial.

Only follow the front pages Nov 8, 2021

I don't usually follow the news, as I don't consider they deserve my attention. If something really big happens, I'm likely to hear about it on social media or by word of mouth.

At most, I see the front pages when I pass a newsstand. If any report interests me, I look for and discuss it on the Internet.

Humans are biased, impartiality is utopian and, probably, dystopian too.

Usually, the most vociferous opponents of "biased" and "agenda-driven" news have even more driven, hidden, and frightening agendas, like the Querdenker, the Proud Boys, and so on.

I would never disagree with you (I actually proposed to you in a post the other day that has yet to be approved) but it is possible to focus on facts rather than opinions. Reporting can at least aim to be balanced, seek the middle ground. Like I do.
