1.1 The Manual
The Operator’s Manual is designed to provide you with the information needed to use the Ellipse Flex PPT System safely and effectively. The Manual is divided into six Chapters:
Chapter 1 introduces the manual, explains the intended use of Ellipse Flex PPT, gives background information, and outlines treatment indications and contraindications.
Chapter 2 explains the day-to-day operation of Ellipse Flex PPT including Treatment Scenarios.
Chapter 3 covers System Maintenance and Hygiene.
Chapter 4 covers System Safety.
Chapter 5 supplies Technical Specifications of the System and Applicators.
Chapter 6 covers Expert and Pulse Definition Modes.
Chapter 7 covers the database used in Ellipse Flex PPT.
Throughout the document, cross-references to other chapters of the Operator’s Manual will be shown in the form “see Chapter X: Heading”. References to other documentation produced by Danish Dermatologic Development for the Ellipse Flex PPT will be in bold text. The instruction to press a specific button will be given as in the example “press ”.
Note that subsequent / supplementary information will be in the form of Application Notes, supplied with the System and Applicators.
1.2 The System
Ellipse Flex PPT is a cabinet containing computer, touch sensitive screen, keyboard and the electronics that provide energy and control of the power. Applicators enabling treatment of specific conditions are connected to the system by means of a flexible cable, which provides power and circulating (demineralised) water supply to the applicators. To press a button, simply press the screen where the button is located.

1.2 Systemet
Ellipse Super Flex är som ett ”skåp” innehållande data, dataskärm som är känslig för beröring, tangentbord och elektronik som sörjer för energi och kontroll av elektricitet. Det innehåller även applikatorer som möjliggör behandling av speciella åkommor. Dessa applikatorer sammankopplas till systemet, genom flexibla kablar. Dessa sörjer för elektricitet och cirkulerande av vattenförsörjning (demineralisering) till applikatorerna. För att trycka på en kommandoknapp, tryck bara på skärmen där kommandoknappen är placerad.
