Hi everyone,

When I registered for the convention, I had a lot of doubts. But thanks to all the participants of this forum, all my questions have already been answered. I will now be taking a bus from Heathrow to Oxford and expect to reach Oxford sometime in the afternoon on 26.11.04. Booking a hotel room is the only task remaining now. I would like to have a single room with attached bathroom. Does anyone have recommendations for a hotel close to the venue?

These are the two I came up with that have vacancy as of a couple of days ago:

Acorn House
Address: 260 - 262 Iffley Rd.
Phone: (1865) 247 998
Prices: 64 pounds double
48 pounds double for 1 person
39 pounds 2 single bed room
There were no other options available for the convention dates.

Newton House
Address: 82 - 84 Abingdon Rd.
Phone: (1865) 240 561
Price: 47 pounds

These are the two I came up with that have vacancy as of a couple of days ago:

Address: 260 - 262 Iffley Rd.
Phone: (1865) 247 998
Prices: 64 pounds double
48 pounds double for 1 person
39 pounds 2 single bed room
There were no other options available for the convention dates.

I wrote to both these on the day you posted this reply but am yet to get a reply. But in the meanwhile someone had posted a link to a site where I could book a room for £80 for two days. So now I shall be staying at Nanford Guesthouse. Thanks a lot for your help.
