Anyone fancy a PowWow in Scotland? Gijos autorius: Alison Schwitzgebel

I will be back home in Scotland for a week at the start of November (flying back to Germany on November . Are there any proz translators in Scotland (apart from Sparkie, of course)? Would anyone be interested in a PowWow during that week? I\'d prefer Glasgow or Edinburgh, but Dundee, Perth, Aberdeen or possibly even Inverness would all be okay too.
Look forward to hearing from you all!

Sorry, can´t get there, I shall away on holiday in Spain at the time.
But I thought I´d mention that in 1975,
when I was at BBC Monitoring, a guy named Andrew Struve, as an excuse for a party, proclaimed November 8th (the day after the anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution in the Soviet Union, an occasion when we worked very hard) to be International Monitors\' Day. when I was at BBC Monitoring, a guy named Andrew Struve, as an excuse for a party, proclaimed November 8th (the day after the anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution in the Soviet Union, an occasion when we worked very hard) to be International Monitors\' Day. I wrote an anthem for the occasion in Russian to the tune of the Soviet National Anthem, and then produced an English version, as follows:
ANTHEM FOR INTERNATIONAL MONITORS’ DAY
A union of linguists extremely distinguished
Was built by our glorious leader, John Rae.
Sing loud acclamation for Struve’s creation,
The Great International Monitors’ Day!
We’ll provide you a translation,
However difficult it be,
From Italian, Romanian, from French or Albanian,
From Serbo-Croat or from Russian,
Lunese, Venusian or Martian,
Such keen and industrious people are we!
Best wishes to you all for the Powwow, if it takes place.

That\'s the day I fly back to Germany....
How about the Thursday, Nov. 7, or even the previous Sunday, Nov 3. Can\'t do the 2nd as its my Mum\'s 60th birthday party!!! If we go for Nov. 7, then I\'d actually prefer Glasgow or Stirling.
If I get another particpant, then I\'ll post this on the PowWow board.
