Professionally, I have been working as a freelance translator since 2005; and even longer as a volunteer in the domain of the Free & Libre Software (RedHat, Ubuntu, GIMP, etc.).

During the years, I have translated millions of words in the IT domain (from Ubuntu to Microsoft Excel); countless of documents in fields such as consumer devices, general engineering, and automotive (Peugeot/Citroen – from French & English, – Ford, Toyota, etc.); I am also highly experienced in, and very much enjoy working on, corporate contracts, general legal and court document translation, from English and French.

For the past couple of years, I have also been working on EU translations, predominantly from French. In addition, I also regularly work on translating new and updated editions of Lithuanian legal acts into French.

I have also translated or co-translated a handful of books on philosophy, religion, popular science, and advertising for some of the leading publishing houses in Lithuania.

In addition to experience in the translation industry, I have also had occupations in IT (web developer, Linux server administrator), among other things; and I am conceptually and technically savvy.

Academically educated in philosophy (in Lithuania and Flanders, Belgium), with strong all-round analytic, creative, and communication skills. In the secondary school, I used to take part in numerous regional computer programming competitions. I am well read and highly curious about many a subject. Currently, I find my interests in economics, business, marketing.
