Since no one has proposed a specific location yet, I wonder if an Ethiopian restaurant (Ethiopian Diamond) in Edgewater would be convenient/satisfactory/appealing... (especialy since most of us are on the north side). It's easily accessible by public transportation. The address is 6120 N. Broadway. This is just a suggestion. If anyone has other ideas, please let them be known!

Can't make it after all Oct 24, 2005

Hi,

I can't make it on the 29th because of a friend's birthday, but would love to meet some other time. Since there are a few of us (several in Evanston alone) - what do you think of a once-a-month afternoon meeting at a cafe or something. I would love to get out of my home office more. Maybe you can take an informal poll at the dinner and let me know if there is interest.

6:30 is good for me too. I just reserved a table for an indefinite number of people (~10), but I'd like to let them know by Thursday or Friday how many of us will actually be there. If 6:30 is NOT good for anyone who is planning to come, let me know so we can change the time... Thanks!

Daina, I think what you suggest is a great idea.

If you do organize a monthly thing, can you keep me posted? i'm in Indianapolis, and I do try to get to Chicago onoccasion - I might be able to attend one such meeting.

Thanks for taking care of the reservations, Andrea. Is anyone else planning to bring a camera? I am not sure how well mine is working, these days...
