After 20 years in IVD (analysers and software) and healthcare IT, I now offer translation services to companies active in those fields (startups are also most welcome).

In the past I have often noticed how documents (manuals, marketing material) as well as the software user interface itself were not always adequately translated.  This often led to problems in the implementation and use of the product, which eventually resulted in a reduced quality perception.

Terminology in this field is very specific and most translators do not know or understand the context in which they are working (e.g. patient ward, clinical laboratory, pharmacy, blood bank, anatomical pathology lab etc.).

Languages always have been my passion, I studied Latin and Greek as part of my humanities degree. Afterwards I became a little sidetracked and worked in different roles for healthcare IT and IVD companies (Cegeka, Sysmex Europe, Lab Technologies, Mobitrace).

In this way I became familiar with the IVD and healthcare IT terminology and processes - and started translating software, documents and product websites.

I would be more than happy to put this experience to good use in translating your software and all related documents.

To be able to guarantee good results I prefer to have access to the actual software (or at least detailed screenshots). This way I can evaluate the context in which a specific term is used.  In doing so, I obviously take into account confidentiality and any input from you.
