WORK EXPERIENCE

Over 25 years' translation experience (English-Spanish) working for both direct clients and translation agencies. As a sworn translator-interpreter, I am specialised in the legal field having translated countless documents in this domain, including birth/marriage/death certificates, criminal record certificates, probate certificates, last wills and testaments, academic transcripts and degrees, powers of attorney, sale/purchase agreements, licence agreements, sponsorship agreements, lease agreements, memorandums and articles of association, court orders and rulings, letters rogatory, financial statements, medical reports, etc.

Since 1994 I have further experience as a sworn interpreter assisting English-speakers at courts of law (civil, criminal, commercial and arbitration proceedings) and notaries' offices (deeds and public instruments of all types).

Simultaneous interpretation (English-Spanish) since 2002 at numerous lectures organised by the EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the Chamber of Commerce of Alicante, Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo (savings bank), COEPA (Business Federation of the province of Alicante) and meetings of condominiums or co-owners, as well as multiple conferences and congresses on topics as diverse as medicine (neurology, dentistry, menopause, in vitro fertilisation, trauma and emergency surgery, etc), information technology (free software, IT and emergency situations, robotics, virtual reality, electronic and digital networks, etc), tourism (smart destinations, religious heritage, policies and planning, sustainable tourism), road safety, and mountaineering, to name but a few.

Consecutive interpretation (English-Spanish) since 2002 at press conferences (by renowned politicians, writers, actors and musicians), lectures, master classes and other events.

Liaison interpretation (English-Spanish) since 1994 at trade fairs, business meetings, audits of companies, medical appointments, etc.
