Spanish term

reconocimiento

Spanish to English Marketing Tourism & Travel Mexico
This is from promotional materials about resorts and timeshares:
"En esta sección podrá consultar información general sobre los Desarrollos Afiliados como nombre, numero de identificación (ID), dirección y reconocimiento."

I am leaning toward "overview" but want to be sure, "inspection" doesn't seem like the information you would provide to potential guests.

Mil gracias...

Discussion

philgoddard Nov 4, 2010:
That would seem to be the obvious solution - if you do have this information, you're better placed than we are to answer the question.
Bubo Coroman (X) Nov 4, 2010:
Lauren, does your text include the "información general" mentioned in your context? If so, can you delve into it so see what it contains?

reviews

Or:
¨professional reviews

It sounds like to me is reference to reviews in magazines, newspapers, trade publications, etc.

Another possibility is that it refers to authorization by some trade association for timeshares.

Suerte.

recognition

"reconocimiento" could perhaps be referring to positive reviews, as the other post explained. However, in this case, it would probably more likely be referring to whatever positive recognition the establishment has received. "reconocimiento" = "recognizance" or "recognition".
Example sentence:

El último 'reconocimiento' lo recibió ayer el Hotel Hacienda Real Los Olivos.
