German term
gegebenenfalls wiederholt
German to English
Bus/Financial
Automotive / Cars & Trucks
The text is a contract between exhibitors of a trade fair and the organiser.
If exhibitors pay for a stand with a specified surface area, but if they are found to be using a space exceeding that area, they will be charged extra:
Das zusätzliche Nutzungsentgelt wird je zusätzlich genutztem m² berechnet; die zusätzlich genutzte Fläche wird auf den cm² ermittelt, gegebenenfalls wiederholt.
What is confusing me is that it suggests that the additional area is charged by the m². Why then does it mention cm²?
I am also unsure what the 'gegebenenfalls wiederholt' means here.
Thanks

Not so very trusting here, they're after every cent.

I saw, indeed. Don't you feel the suggestions are varied enough?

1 day 45 mins
for each/per occurrence of use
"..will be assessed in square centimeters for each/per occurrence of use”
This makes explicit that they will assess (and charge) for repeated use. Sounds like they will record each extra square centimeter used but only charge by square meter (= each time accumulated use adds up to one square meter).

+1
6 mins
cumulative (as appropriate)
If the stand has several extensions, each less than one square metre, the square centimetres will be accumulated to give a total in square metres.

Another possibility: The organisers might want to keep coming round to check that the exhibitor isn't craftily empire building during the fair. In which case
Repeat checks may be carried out

: probably both options are right. But why stand? I do a lot of work for automotive trade fairs, and these are called booths. Or is this another Britishism? AHA - thanks.. but don't think this is called a phone booth in merry olde England- if at all

Thanks and yes indeed. I also do a lot of work for trade fairs: booth (AE); stand (BE). http://www.bents.co.uk/model-villages/telephone-booth/xmalth...

Hope, this helps.
Kind regards, Johannes
For instance: The price per m² is €10. So if there are only 5000 cm² you will pay only €5.
