Spanish term

Cada uno lo toma como y cuando mas le gusta

Spanish to English Other General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
This is on a cocktails menu. Referring to Negroni, specifically!

Aperitivo rey y un
clásico que nunca
pasa de moda.
Negroni. Cada
uno lo toma cómo
y cuándo más le
gusta. Don Diego
Celestín, de sutil y
refinado paladar,
lo tomaba antes y
después de su cena
en este lobby. Salía a
recorrer los mejores
restaurantes de
Madrid, donde su
Negroni siempre
tenía un sabor
diferente.

My brain is not firing on all cylinders this morning and I can't find an elegant way of saying this in English!
Any ideas?
Thanks
Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): Carol Gullidge

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Shaken or stirred, how and when you drink it is up to you

Apparently it can be shaken or stirred, so assuming the "como" refers to that, how about:
Shaken or stirred, how and when you drink it is up to you
or
How and when you drink it comes down to personal choice

Another idea:
The king of aperitifs: Negroni. This classic cocktail that never goes out of fashion can be prepared to your taste and enjoyed at any time of day.
Peer comment(s):

agree Noni Gilbert Riley : I like your second take on this. It could even be reduced to"This classic cocktail, never out of fashion, can be ...."

Like the reduction idea. Thanks!
agree Muriel Vasconcellos : Excellent!! I had already thought of the 'it's up to you' when I saw the question. I like your second solution, too, but the first is genius.

One enjoys it how and when one pleases

or "To be enjoyed how and when one pleases"

Just a couple of many options I'm sure :-)

disagree Lisa McCarthy : Sorry, this is not correct English and 'fond of' would not be appropriate for this context.
