"Compensated" ist nicht wirklich falsch. "*Stable* heart failure" ist hingegen deutlich üblicher:

I think so:
our body has a remarkable ability to compensate for heart failure. The body may do such a good job that many people don't feel symptoms in the earlier stages of heart failure. It is only when your body isn't able to compensate enough that you will begin to experience symptoms. - https://www.healthlinkbc.ca/illnesses-conditions/heart-healt...
compensated cardiac hypertrophy - https://academic.oup.com/cardiovascres/article/34/3/439/2644...

compensated heart failure
I agree with comments in other answer. Body compensates for failure resulting in a sufficiently balanced overall cardiac function. It is called compensated heart failure, so technically heart failure but the body actually compensates for it so no or easily manageable symptoms
Discussion
Wie man allein anhand eines EKG entscheiden kann, ob der Patient/die Patientin kardial kompensiert oder dekompensiert ist, ist mir als Internist mehr als schleierhaft...
