@ Asker Well, 'point-nœud' is usually 'nodal point' — but I don't know if there is a dedicated term used in cycling.

numbered-node cycle network

That's what Wikipedia calls it anyway.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numbered-node_cycle_network

Though I quite like 'node point' taken from the German: " In Germany, standard signage is set high on poles. German nodes are usually marked by a large red "Node-point-hat" ("Knotenpunkthut") sign on top of the pole," [Wiki site above] and as used by the Grauniad in https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2019/oct/19/new-cycling-t...
Even if it is pleonastic.

A couple of people have commented that this does not seem very English. That is as maybe. The term seems to have been adopted by cyclists in the UK, Canada, and NZ.

This is where the idea of a REGIONAL CYCLE NODE NETWORK comes into play. These systems exist for example in the Netherlands, Belgium and the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. In such a system, every crossing point between different cycling routes (i.e. each node) is ASSIGNED A NUMBER. The nodes are signed, and at the nodes and along the routes, signs indicate which next node can be reached by following the cycle facility in this direction.

As you know, I am very much enamoured with the NUMBERED NODE SYSTEM in the Netherlands. It is the way to go for Ottawa. I wrote about it, I presented at the NCC and I think Ottawa is ready for it

In Rotterdam we saw a network of leisure cycle paths marked with green signs pointing to the next NUMBERED NODE [photo]. At these points several routes meet and there will be a map helping you plan your ride to the next points.

The Dutch cycle route network uses a NUMBERED NODE SYSTEM. Points/nodes (called "knoop punts") along the route are numbered and clearly marked by signs and directions, so in theory all you have to do is to navigate from node to node. Maps are displayed at most nodes. Easy!

neutral Yvonne Gallagher : Yes, I already gave that Wiki ref. In my answer. But doesn't look very English to me//Dunglish in fact. Your refs are literal translations referring to the NL and BE concept and the article written by Dutch native in ref to NZ.

Sorry, didn't see that. The concept has reached NZ (which admittedly has a lot of tulipmunchers) http://cyclingchristchurch.co.nz/2019/06/10/a-regional-cycle...
agree Tony M : I would favour a suggestion using 'cycle', much more idiomatic; and I think the idea the nodes are numbered, although only implied in the s/t, is crucial to the "operating principle" here: the fact is is not a fixed circuit, but can be done in any order

Well put. You have me thinking that far from being "not English", it has been re-thought from a pragmatic English viewpoint!

Bikeway network / Cycling waypoint network / Cycling node network [in Bxls]

Peer comment(s):

neutral writeaway : Even your Chicago reference simply uses bike network. And it's not just in Belgium. The Brussels ref was not translated/written by a native English speaker, as usual here.

agree philgoddard : I think you have to express the idea of "node", so I'd go for your second or third option. I particularly like " waypoint", which I think is clearer than "node".

Intersecting cycleway (network) with numbered junctions

or cycling route network with numbered intersections

I think nodal points or nodes don't really work in English at all. These are intersecting cycle paths or routes (and I'd use the latter for longer distances).

neutral philgoddard : Your second reference says "node".

Duh! I know. I said I don't agree with literal translation. It's Dunglish. IF we had the same thing in an English country we'd use junction or intersection

Bicycle junction network

As others noted, "bicycle network" is probably an acceptable term. But if your client is very meticulous and likes things explained ultra thoroughly, consider "bicycle junction network."
Peer comment(s):

neutral Tony M : Not terribly idiomatic in EN
