estados de enrarecimiento

Idioms / Maxims / Sayings
This is from a fictionalized text about an Argentine woman sculptor who led an extravagant life>
“Yo quisiera esculpir tragando formas”.
strange states does not seem...strange enough...Rarefied seems so... stuffy
Any ideas?

State of alienation/dissociation
In her memoirs, Maria lets it be known that her states of alienation/dissociation occurred especially in the early hours of the morning. In most cases she alludes to them by ellipsis. Perhaps that is why, late at night, she sketched out what was inside her and looked for other ways to say. "I would like to sculpt by swallowing forms".

: This certainly fits the context, but I think you need references.

To me it's just Freudian/Jungian psychology, or similar. No need to look beyond the type of phraseology these types of people use.

captive episodes of sensorial distortion
In her memoirs, Maria lets us glimpse that her captive states of sensorial confusion occurred especially in the early morning. In most cases she alludes to them ellipticaly (in a round about way).. Perhaps that is why she sketched what was inside her late at night, and tried such expressions as "I would like to sculpt by swallowing forms".

Misophonia is a neurological disorder in which negative experiences (anger, fright, hatred, disgust) are triggered by specific sounds. Cytowic suggests that misophonia is related to, or perhaps a variety of, synesthesia.[1] Edelstein and her colleagues have compared misophonia to synesthesia in terms of connectivity between different brain regions as well as specific symptoms.[1] They formed the hypothesis that "a pathological distortion of connections between the auditory cortex and limbic structures could cause a form of sound-emotion synesthesia."[29] Studies suggest that individuals with misophonia have a normal hearing sensitivity level but the limbic system and autonomic nervous system are constantly in a "heightened state of arousal" where abnormal reactions to sounds will be more prevalent.[30]
Newer studies suggest that depending on its severity, misophonia could be associated with lower cognitive control when individuals are exposed to certain associations and triggers.[31

Spanish term (edited):
estado/s de enrarecimiento
state/s of rarefied (heightened) consciousness
Perhaps the question could have been framed as psychology (to keep non-psychologists off this topic) or even religious: Buddhist / Lamaistic - talking of which Himalayan connection, I don't think 'rarefied' looks 'stuffy' on the 70th anniversary of the first recorded ascent of Mount Everest : if so, switch to heightened vs. (medicinally) altered states...
Example sentence:
But between these ultimate states of rarefied consciousness there remain … states of awareness of consciousness that has no object: no-thing-ness
Trying to isolate this hypothetical rarefied conscious event
