T.O.

English to French Tech/Engineering Engineering (general)
Bonjour,

Je traduis un plan d'une charpente de plancher. Dans l'encadré "FRAMING SUMMARY", j'ai "FRAMING TYPE: X", "DECK TYPE: X", "T.O. FLOOR ELEV: PER ARCH" et "T.O. STEEL ELEV: -3''".

Je n'ai aucune idée de ce que signifie "T.O.".

Quelqu'un aurait-il une idée ?

Merci d'avance de votre aide.

Super merci Daryo pour vos explications !
Daryo May 15:
T.O. FLOOR ELEV: PER ARCH = the level / high elevation "of the top of" the finished floor to be as indicated on plan

T.O. STEEL ELEV: -3" = the level / high elevation "of the top of" the steel structure supporting the floor: 3 inches below the top level of the finished floor.

T.O. = Through

Are you looking for a high elevation deck that incorporates multiple elements of your yard? This deck plan features multiple stairways up to the upper deck as well as a lower deck with an integrated hot tub surrounded by wooden benches.

The view from the side is called an elevation (drawn 1 in. equals 1 ft.) and shows heights of the various deck components, their vertical arrangement, and other information not easily conveyed on the plan view. The elevation also should indicate the depths of foundations, the deck height off the ground, and the sizes of posts, beams, joists, and cantilevers. It may show the relationship of the railing posts to the joists as well as railing heights above deck level.

NOTES:
"CP" Line.
1. Contours indicate top of deck elevation
2. x indicates 10 foot intervals measured along "CP" line
3. Contour interval = 0.2'
4. Contours do not include camber or falsework settlement.

Two difficulties are encountered: since the original deck is almost invariably flat (water drains straight through), provision for drainage has to be made in the redecking design. Top of elevation of the deck is likely to change due to the new cross slope, and replacement of the open deck, sub-floor beams, etc. with a new deck. Thus, adjustment to the approaches may also be required.

In the realm of architecture, an elevation is a precise and detailed representation of one vertical plane or face of a building or structure. It offers a flat, two-dimensional view of this particular side, capturing critical design elements, architectural features, and the overall aesthetic composition.
