English term

a Carbon Transcritical Power Cycle

English to French Tech/Engineering Patents (in a patent) Wind turbine waste heat recovery System
The fluid is carbon dioxide, and the process to transform the thermal energy into electrical energy is employing a Carbon Transcritical Power Cycle.

The fluid is an organic liquid, and the process to transform the thermal energy into electrical energy is employing an Organic Rankine Cycle.

The waste heat recovery System comprises a fluid circuit 10. The fluid and the fluid circuit 10 is an organic liquid and the waste heat recovery System is using an Organic Rankine Cycle.

un cycle transcritique au CO2

I believe there may be an error in the source - I think it should be 'a carbon dioxide transcritical power cycle' since carbon dioxide (not carbon) is the fluid used. From what I can glean, your patent refers to using the heat produced by the turbine by utilising the CO2 transcritical cycle (in the reverse to the more common use which is in refrigeration) to allow the heat recovered to be transformed into electrical energy. Also, 'CO2 transcritical cycle' seems to be interchangeable with 'CO2 transcritical power cycle' in English. The French equivalent is 'cycle transcritique au CO2'.
Example sentence:

L’inconvénient majeur de ce type de cycle (cycle transcritique au CO2) est la perte énergétique importante lors de la détente isenthalpique du CO2 principalement due aux irréversibilités se produisant lors de cette transformation.
