Choman、Chomen、Chomeneという単語が出てきました。同様の使い方がなされているため、ただのTypoかもしれませんが、辞書で調べても、検索してもこれらが何かわからなかったため、お知恵を拝借させてください。

This is a typo. Actually, three typos. All of your terms have one thing in common, they are missing an 'r'. I think that this is one of those times where katakana was used to represent the sound of the chemicals and it wasn't exactly right. So, it should be "chroman" and "chromen" and "chromene" instead of "choman" and "chomen" and "chomene". HTH.
