Discussion

Elisabeth Tauvon (asker) Aug 21, 2013:
I truly wish I had a picture, but I don't. I agree it seems a bit odd. I am trying to visualise a pair of bicycle shorts, and where it would make sense to have a mesh.
Anna Herbst Aug 21, 2013:
I realise you have closed the question.. ..but the answer makes me even more confused, not only because I would not automatically connect carrier with advertising space, but also because I can't understand how it would work. Do you have a picture of the shorts in question that you can refer to?
I have never seen bicycle shorts with advertising carriers on them here in Australia, the ads are more likely to be printed, stitched or ironed onto the cyclists' apparel. Wearing some sort of advertising carrier whose "fit is aligned to the needs of a cyclist" seems quite complicated. If someone could please explain how these cycling shorts are constructed, I would be very grateful.
Elisabeth Tauvon (asker) Aug 20, 2013:
Yes, I am positive the description relates to bicycle shorts.
Anna Herbst Aug 20, 2013:
Back and carrier aligned to the cyclist's needs? Is this really describing bicycle shorts? Are you sure the text does not refer to a cyclist's backpack or something similar? The description rather seems to point in that general direction.

neutral Anna Herbst : Sorry, but I can't find the connection between "advertising space" and "carrier" in Wikipedia. What URL did you go to? I checked http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrier and also Wiktionary http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/carrier - no luck...
