I do my own proofreading and I’ll go over my translation how many times I feel the text needs. I work with a few translation agencies that have their own proofreaders and over the years I developed a mutually beneficial relationship with them. I know that my most frequent clients check my texts when I deliver them.
Although I check thoroughly myself, there is not always time to ´sleep´ on a text and read it the next day before delivery. For some reason this is a good idea - I often find typos or improvements that I did not think of earlier, no matter how thoroughly I checked!
