Thayenga Germany Local time: 13:14 Member (2009) English to German + ... A better command of languages | May 15, 2019 |
Perhaps she should try to get a better command of English first before she sets out to scam people. @ Manuela Thank you for posting this here. Have you informed the real agency about the abuse of their company's name? They need to know about it.

Thank you for your reply, Thayenga, indeed the command of English was the first thing that made me wonder if this is a real Project Manager and then I saw the e-mail adress. Yes, the first thing I did was to send the original message to Mothertongue, they are checking this.

Also report it to TSD to alert even more people. ProZ.com already took initial measures to deal with this, but providing them full details is also essential.

I wonder what this person is trying to achieve. Just for the record, Mother Tongue is a thoroughly reputable agency in London. I've been working with them for over 25 years.

In fact, I am still not sure how their scam works, what was the document they sent? Check the document for virus and other threats. How do they want to pay? I would suggest you just wait and see what happens. Just pay attention to their promises and then act accordingly, do not provide any bank details and do not send them money if they pretend they sent you a bigger sum.
