Visto che si tratta di uno spot pubblicitario, immagino si riferisca a quello che anche in italiano si chiama trattamento, cioè un passaggio intermedio fra il soggetto e la sceneggiatura vera e propria (vedi i link). A me però "director's" sembra ridondante, visto che dopo c'è il nome del regista, quindi lo ometterei.
