Dans un cargo (transport), les emplacements du frêt (cases) sont identifiés par des numéro. Ces numéros permettent de les repérer et d'indiquer leur position dans l'avion.
Egalement ce numéro peut indiquer un emplacement de parking de l'avion-cargo dans un entrepôt.
Dans tous les cas cela s'appelle une "case".

This document refers to 'bin numbrs' in connection with credit cards and billing, but I am doubtful that this is quite the same context?

However, this does throw into doubt what I was thinking, that these are physical bins; maybe it does in fact refer simply to positions into which things may be put.
You may find the safest answer here is to "ask the customer"!
As I thought, it does indeed refer to literal physical bins... which changes everything!
I wonder if these are the quite large aluminium alloy 'bins' used for transporting baggage? I somehow suspect they are too large to be called a 'casier'.
mais pour le "bin number" de la phrase suivante "the first of the three caracters to identify a particular bin and position", n'est-ce pas un "casier" le "particular bin", ou une autre dénomination spécifique de soute ?
La phrase suivante indique : "The third number indicates the left side (L), right side (R), or pallet (P)"
