Thermostat
To do with a thermostat night setting. I can't decide whether it's an energy saving function, or a mode to keep the house moderately warm.

automatic setback
Doesn't relate specifically to nights, but at any time where you want the temperature to be lowered. Automatic night setback would perhaps work in this case?

Comment: "Hi Per, Thanks for the help. I'm not 100% convinced but it's acceptable enought to present to the client for them make their own decision (I had used night economy function, but I guess either would do).

nocturnal adjustment
Besides the fact that the source word is a constructed one, not found in any Norwegian glossaries (although 'nattsenking' might), I'd use my suggestion to refer to a feature that allows users to apply a different temperature setting to the sleepting quarters when they are being used for this purpose. The literal 'night-time lowering' may apply to cooling, heating or energy use, and temperature reduction is by no means a given here.
