His father was a writer of mediocre ability. And this mediocrity if “transplanted” to his own son, a 16 yrs old, it would give birth to a genius. It was a masterstroke!
The indictment includes the argument that he was quite apathetic to English as a teenage yet he included English even latin words in his writings. Among the most convincing arguments is that even though he said he didn’t read classics he quoted from and alluded to them ingeniously in his work.
His downfall will be devastating and demoralizing for his fans Worldwide who think he was Untouchable. ▲ Collapse

... if found to be true, that is. And that's a big if. But thanks for keeping us abreast.
BTW, I would hardly describe fraud as a masterstroke, unless one condones it.

网上大概看了一下。 It seems like there's more controversy surrounding his political views on democracy than the suspicions/aspersions cast on his academic integrity or literary brilliance.
A blog article on nytimes.com by Eric Abrahasmen titled "Han Han’s U-Turn?" shed some light for me on what the opposing arguments are. I have to say that at first blush, some of Han's opinions on democracy sound more rational, and much less radical to me than those of others.
Anyhow, I agree with James. This topic doesn't seem to belong in this forum.
